Stratton’s First Book Fest
(in conjunction with National Book Day)

If you share our passion for books, come along where you can meet local writers, including a poet, browse our Antiquarian and Collectable stand and buy quality volumes from our themed displays. Whether you collect modern or classic crime, dream of travel, admire contemporary fiction, hunger for cook books or have an interest in First Editions, there will be a book for you.

There will also be a chance to explore your family history and view an exhibition which includes a page from a 14th century Bible!

This collaboration with National Book Day will also celebrate Olympic and Royal Jubilee year, with features on Stratton’s role in previous such events.

The venue: St Andrew’s church between the hours of 10am and 4pm, entry is free, so simply turn up for the books!

Swishing Event

“Let’s Swish Again, like we did last summer.”

‘Swishing’ is simply the concept of exchanging clothes for other clothes - but it can be for other stuff too such as Gardenalia, Tools, Retro/Vintage items, Cds/Vinyl and Collectables, Kitchenalia, etc.  The sale price is then split 50/50 so FoStA gains and you’ve cleared out unused and unwanted items.  If it doesn’t sell, you get it back so there is nothing to lose.
