St Andrew’s Flower Festival - May 2014

Friday 23rd , Saturday 24th, Sunday 25th and Monday 26th May

This year’s theme is:  “Food in Faith” - a feast for all the senses!

This year the Flower Festival theme is to be “Food in Faith” and it promises to be a feast – hopefully for all the senses.

The Festival will run over four days from Friday May 23rd to Monday May 26th inclusive. Entrance is free and the opening times from 10 am to 6 pm. each day except Sunday when we open a little later, after the Parish Mass which begins at 9.30 am., and close at 5pm. Everyone is more than welcome to join us for the morning service.

Refreshments, including morning coffee, light lunches and afternoon cream teas, will be available every day. We try to make sure that everything we offer, as far as possible, is homemade.

There is also going to be a new recipe book, linked to the festival theme, to add to the interest and culinary delights.

We hope to have whetted your appetite and that you will want to come along and enjoy the feast. The success of the festival depends not only on the floral displays and stalls but also on the generosity of many sponsors and the skill and willingness of lots of flower arrangers.

If, on reading this, you feel the urge to come and help and be part of the festival please contact the co-ordinator Lyzette Bevan as soon as possible. Her telephone number is 01288 359811 and she would love to hear from you.

A meeting will be held in church on Monday 12th May at 7.30 pm to plan final details with those involved.

Most importantly though, we need people to visit the Flower Festival - to enjoy all that it has to offer, including the glorious church building, its ambience. and the welcome and fellowship to be found there. So, tell all your friends and relations about it and get them to come and enjoy it.

Why not put the dates in your diary right now.

All proceeds are for St. Andrew’s Church and as this is one of our major fundraising activities we hope lots of people will come to visit.

Entrance is free.

Opening times: 10 am to 6 pm each day except Sunday, when it will open at noon (after the Parish Mass at 9.30 am), and close at 5 pm.
